Boost Your Assertiveness
There has never been a more exciting time to be in the workforce. Our organisations are more diverse than ever, and our roles are even more dependant upon us achieving results through people. But with those opportunities come significant challenges. We have all seen people who struggle with their confidence, with speaking up and presenting their ideas, with standing up for their teams, with managing disagreements, and with saying ‘no’ to unreasonable requests. In short, the majority of leaders I’ve worked with want and need to boost their assertiveness to become more effective. That’s why we’ve developed the Boost Your Assertiveness program.
The course covers topics including what assertiveness is and isn’t, overcoming fear, saying ‘no’, providing feedback, stating what you want, body language, solving shared problems, and ways to support your ongoing development through goal setting and mentoring.
Across the 15 days of content, we explore what it means to be assertive, while having the chance to practice and reflect. Assertiveness isn’t just about behaviour, it’s also about the thoughts and feelings that can either help or hinder us. And behaviour, thoughts and feelings take time to change, which is why taking three weeks is so important. While the course talks about assertiveness in a work setting, you will find the principles apply equally well to the rest of our lives.
We are confident this program will help you to boost your assertiveness, just as the content has already helped thousands of other people just like you. We look forward to working with you.
Upon completing the course you have the opportunity to earn a digital credential and badge. Go to www.leadership.today/earn to share what you've learned and how you're applying those skills and we will issue your credential via Credly within 7 days.
